Columbus State University appoints Clerie to direct the Office of Human Resources
Columbus State University has selected Carole E. Clerie, MBA, SPHR, to serve as Director of Human Resources. She brings more than 12 years of human resources experience in higher education to the leadership role.
At the time of her appointment, Ms. Clerie served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Fort Valley State University in Georgia. Her responsibilities included employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruitment and selection, risk management, training and development, and wellness initiatives.
Previously, she served 10 years as the Director of Employee Services at Lynn University in Florida. At the university, she was responsible for all human resources and payroll functions. She led Lynn University through the implementation of employee onboarding, applicant tracking system processes, compensation study and salary grade development, wellness programs, and in streamlining payroll processes. Additionally, she was the Title IX Coordinator and an adjunct faculty member.
Ms. Clerie earned her bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Florida Atlantic University and MBA degree in Finance from Lynn University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
