University of South Carolina Upstate names Hopkins the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations
The University of South Carolina Upstate has selected Benita A. Hopkins, MPA, to serve as Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations. Ms. Hopkins will assume her responsibilities at the university in October.
Presently, Ms. Hopkins is a major gift officer for the University of Alabama Huntsville. Prior to joining UAH in 2013, she was a Division Director for six years for the March of Dimes Foundation, working in fundraising and communications. Previously she held leadership roles at Girl Scouts of Central Alabama, Girls Incorporated of Huntsville, and Benchmark Electronics.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State University in Alabama and a Master of Public Administration degree from Troy University in Alabama.
