University of Louisiana - Monroe appoints Evans as Department Head of Clinical Sciences
The University of Louisiana - Monroe announced the appointment of Jeffery Evans, PharmD, to the leadership role of Department Head of Clinical Sciences in the School of Pharmacy and the College of Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has served as the interim Department Head at ULM since July 2017.
Dr. Evans joined ULM in 2006 as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Associate Professor and awarded tenure in 2010. Prior to his move to Louisiana, he was one of the initial faculty members at the new School of Pharmacy at South University in Georgia.
Dr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida. He completed a Primary Care Residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and Amarillo Veterans' Affairs Center, both in Amarillo Texas.
He is active in American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and has served in both appointed and elected roles within the organization. He is also a frequent speaker for organizations within Louisiana, including the Louisiana Society of Health-system Pharmacists and Louisiana Pharmacists Association.
