University of South Carolina names Keon the new Sr. Director of Development for DMSB
The University of South Carolina has selected Nancy L. Keon to serve as Senior Director of Development for the Darla Moore School of Business. Keon brings extensive experience as a development professional to this leadership position.
Since 2012, she has served as Vice President for Coaching Services and Independent Consultant with Advancement Resources in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Working with academic leaders, medical professionals, and front-line fundraisers, she provides group and individual coaching to strengthen their skills and abilities as successful development professionals.
For nearly 10 years at the University of Central Florida, Keon successfully worked with donors to secure several seven-figure principal gifts. She also secured many other gifts at a variety of levels for purposes ranging from scholarships to faculty professorships and chairs to program and general support. At UCF she served as Director of Major Gifts and Director of Development for the College of Health and Public Affairs, then Senior Director of Development and Director of Major Gifts for the College of Business Administration, and then Associate Vice President for Development.
During her career, Keon has led a variety of programs in business schools at both private and public universities. At Drake University, she served three years as Director of Graduate Programs for the College of Business and Public Administration and three years as Director of Alumni and Development for the College of Business and Public Administration and the College of Arts and Sciences. At Iowa State University, she was Director of Development for the College of Business.
Keon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Iowa State University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Drake University.
