Cohen to serve as Associate VP for Major and Planned Gifts at Claflin University

Claflin University has announced the appointment of Veronica Cohen to the leadership position of Associate Vice President for Major and Planned Gifts.

Ms. Cohen brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education to Claflin. She currently serves as Vice President for University Advancement at Mississippi Valley State University.  Over her career, she also has served at the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dental Medicine; Springfield College; Lincoln University, and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Her early career experience was as a financial analyst for Carolina Power & Light Company.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Saint Augustine’s College in North Carolina and a Master of Science in Community Counseling Psychology from Springfield College in California. She earned a certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University-Purdue University in Indiana.
