Irvin R. Clark named Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Administrative Affairs at Florida State University Panama City.

Irvin R. Clark has been named Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Administrative Affairs at Florida State University Panama City. He brings nearly 25 years of higher education experience to the administrative position.

Prior to the appointment, Dr. Clark was Interim Vice President for Student Affairs at Radford University in Virginia. He joined the university in 2013 as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.

Previously, he served 20 years at Savannah State University in Georgia. He held a number of leadership roles, including Vice President for Student Affairs, Interim Director of Athletics, and Director of Residential Services & Programs. He began his career at Savannah State in 1993 as a Residence Director and Assistant Football Coach.

Clark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Florida A&M University, a Master of Science degree in Public Administration degree from Savannah State University in Georgia, and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Change from The Fielding Graduate University in California.

Clark has been actively engaged in community, state and professional association leadership roles. He is the Immediate Past President for the National Association for Student Affairs Professionals (NASAP) and a past advisory board member for the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) College Student Educators International.
