Myers McRae appoints Medders as President

Macon, GA -- Emily Parker Myers, President and Chief Executive Officer of Myers McRae Executive Search and Consulting, announced today the appointment of Alan G. Medders, Ph.D., as president of the firm. He will assume this executive role in the national firm in February 2016.

“We are fortunate to have Alan joining the firm,” said Chairman R. Kirby Godsey. “He not only is an exceptional individual and leader, but he also brings a wealth of knowledge of higher education and leadership qualities to this key position.

“Under Emily Myers’ leadership for the past eight years, this firm has flourished and has expanded significantly its clientele of colleges, universities, and not-for-profit organizations throughout the nation,” he said. “The selection of Alan to serve as president once again demonstrates her vision for continuing to develop this firm and heighten its national reputation in executive search.”

In addition to a bachelor’s degree and two graduate degrees, Medders holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He and his wife of 31 years, Denise, have two daughters.  Andrea is a junior at the University of North Alabama and Alison, who is married to Dustin Duncan, lives in Montgomery, Ala.
